Want a Luxury Sedan or Luxury Wagon? Try the Acura TSX!
No, the TSX doesn’t shift between wagon and sedan versions with the push of a button; we aren’t likely to have an Acura like that cruising the streets of Chicago in our lifetimes.
But if you like the style of the TSX Sedan but wish you had more cargo space, the TSX Wagon is for you. And if you dig the style and performance of the Wagon, well, you can probably see where we’re going. In short, the TSX is a great choice for a variety of drivers, whether it fits you just depends on which TSX we’re talking about.
So, Wagon or Sedan?
Let’s start with the basics. The powertrain on both versions of the TSX is a 201-hp 2.4L I-4, but if you’re looking for more power, you’ll want to go with the TSX Sedan, as you can drive one of them home with the help of a 3.5L V6 with 280 hp.
The other clear point of difference between the two models is going to be the storage space. For the sedan, you’ll find 12.6 cubic feet of storage in the trunk, but if you know you’ll need to find room for the kids’ soccer gear or band instruments, you may want to go with the wagon for its spacious 61 cubic feet of storage.
Beyond these differences, you’re mostly looking at the same luxury auto, albeit where one is a bit longer than the other. The entry-level model features 17-inch alloy wheels, leather upholstery, xenon headlights, dual-zone climate control, Bluetooth connectivity, and much more.
Of course, if you’re looking for a bit more in the technology spectrum, the Acura technology package adds on navigation, a rearview camera, voice recognition, a 10-speaker sound system, and a power liftgate on the TSX Wagon.
