The 2015 Acura RDX Standard Features Are Beyond Compare

May 27th, 2014 by

One of the best things we can say about a vehicle like the 2015 Acura RDX is that its features are beyond compare. The fact is that the compact crossover is one of the most competitive luxury vehicle classes out there, and besting a model like the 2015 Lexus RX 350 FWD in features is something we are quite proud of.

Take a look at what separates these models and decide for yourself which of them you’d rather drive home.

The King of the Luxury Crossovers

We’ve been proud of the RDX since it debuted, and yet it keeps managing to exceed our expectations. The 2015 RDX has no trouble going head-to-head against the toughest competitors, like the Lexus RX 350. Take a look at some of the features you’ll find on the RDX that either require an upgrade to or are unavailable on the RX 350:

  • Memory adjustments for driver-side features
  • Speed sensing interval wipers
  • Front heated seating
  • Paddle shifters
  • Rearview camera
  • Power moonroof

If that isn’t enough for you, don’t worry, there are plenty of other reasons to choose the RDX over the RX 350. Did you know that the RDX has a 3.5L V6 with 273 hp and 251 lb-ft of torque, edging out the 270 hp and 248 lb-ft of the Lexus? Those numbers may seem similar, but when we take a look at fuel efficiencies, we see better engineering from Acura:

  • Not only does Acura’s engine have more power, but the 2015 RDX 6-Spd AT earns an EPA-estimated 28 mpg on the highway and 20 mpg in the city.*
  • The Lexus only manages to earn 25 highway mpg and 18 city mpg.
