The 2014 Acura MDX is on its Way!
Does it surprise you to hear people get excited at announcements like the pricing tiers for a vehicle? What if that vehicle is the 2014 Acura MDX (prototype pictured)? It all makes sense now, doesn’t it? Coming soon to a Chicagoland Acura dealer, the new MDX has been making waves and turning heads, and we think our excitement over announcements for the vehicle is pretty justified.
Read on to see just what it is about this luxury crossover that has us eager to see it on the streets of Chicago, but don’t be surprised if you find that you need one in your garage too.
A Fully-Redesigned MDX
While Acura’s crossover certainly had its fair share of fans, we’ve been impressed by the sheer number of people who have expressed interest in the new model, which is making its debut this July. Unlike previous models, this one will be available in both front- and all-wheel drive modes (specifically, the Acura-exclusive Super-Handling All-Wheel Drive or SH-AWD) on the 3.5L V6 that comes standard on the MDX.
With 290 hp and 267 lb-ft of torque, there’s plenty of power and torque for the average driver, and the vehicle’s playing host to quite a few new technologies, including Acura’s Jewel Eye LED headlights, an updates AcuraLink system, and quite a bit more.
One of the hallmarks of the new MDX is its customizability, with four available trim levels and add-ons like Technology or Entertainment packages, it is pretty easy to configure the crossover that will serve you and your family the best. At the high end, amenities such as a 12-speaker ELS premium audio system, remote ignition, and a rear-seat entertainment system become available.
