The 2013 Infiniti G Sedan Colors Disappoint

September 16th, 2013 by

So, we’ve been talking a bit here among Chicagoland Acura dealers, and while we hesitate to call the 2013 Infiniti G sedan’s color choices as boring, we aren’t quite sure there’s a better word.

There was a tradition at some point that luxury sedans were rather limited in their color schemes, and while Acura breaks from that mold with their vehicles—especially the 2014 TL—it looks as though Infiniti is fine sitting in place.

We know that color choices are an aesthetic thing—not all of you are going to agree with us—but the fact is that you just get more choices with the TL as well.

Color Us Unsurprised

When it comes to innovation, we’ve spent a fair amount of time telling you about the 2013 and 2014 TL and how both models have been outmaneuvering competitors like Infiniti, so we aren’t too surprised to find that when it comes to color options, Acura comes out on top.

Drivers of the 2014 TL will have the choice of six exterior colors:

  • Bellanova White Pearl
  • Crystal Black Pearl
  • Graphite Luster Metallic
  • Fathom Blue Pearl
  • Silver Moon
  • Basque Red Pearl II

So, you get some traditional looking luxury paint jobs: silver, black, white, metallic grey, but then you also get a deep blue and an almost burgundy red. That’s not even counting the five different interior color schemes available, either.

The Infiniti has just four color choices—liquid platinum, moonlight white, graphite shadow, and black obsidian.

Drive the Luxury Sedan You Want, Drive Acura

As far as choice is concerned, we at Chicagoland Acura dealers think that we give drivers some of the best options around, but you shouldn’t take our word on that. Instead you should come by our dealership and take one of our sedans like the 2014 TL for a test drive.

They say that seeing is believing, but we think that when it comes to cars, it should be “driving is believing.” Start believing with us, find a Chicagoland Acura dealer near you today.
