Reviews of the 2014 Acura ILX Trickle In
Drivers on the market for a new luxury sedan in the greater Chicago area should check out the 2014 Acura ILX. The reviews of Acura’s new sedan are starting to come out, and if you’re seeking a great mixture of equipment, features, elegance, and affordability, you’re going to have a hard time beating the new ILX. There’s even a hybrid option available, if you’re looking for something more efficient and environmentally-friendly.
Attractive, Well-Equipped, and Affordable
When it comes to luxury vehicles, many drivers have been misled by competing brands like Lexus and BMW to believe that “luxury” automatically means “expensive,” but that has never been the case with Acura, a trait that is pretty clearly on display in the new ILX.
The basic version of Acura’s new sedan includes plenty of desirable features, from style features like 17-inch wheels and leather upholstery to technologies like Bluetooth phone and audio streaming and a seven-speaker sound system, and it has a solid powertrain to go with it. Under the hood of the ILX 2.0 is a 2.0L 4-cylinder engine capable of 150 hp and 140 lb-ft of torque.
When it comes to upgradeable options, Acura offers Premium and Technology packages that let drivers add on amenities from xenon headlamps and a rearview camera on the Premium package to a navigation system and 10-speaker ELS surround sound system in the Technology package.
A hybrid version of the ILX will be available in the fall of 2013, but as of right now, you have the option of that 2.0L engine as well as a 2.4L 4-cylinder that can put out 201 hp and 170 lb-ft of torque.
