New Improvements Make the 2014 ILX More Remarkable
Acura first released the ILX in 2013, and although the vehicle was quite impressive, the automaker decided to make several improvements for the 2014 edition. There will be eight new standard features on this latest model, some of which required an upgrade on the 2013 ILX.
These new standard features that were once optional consist of leather seats, heated front seats, an eight-way power driver’s seat, a multi-angle rearview camera and leatherette door liners. Other new additions include an Active Noise Cancellation system and new subwoofer.
The new leather seats have been ergonomically designed to provide passengers with an enjoyable and comfortable driving experience. The vehicle also offers plenty of cargo space and cabin storage.
The exterior of the 2014 ILX has also undergone some nice changes as well. New 17-inch alloy wheels add sophistication and style. The standard 150-hp 2.0-liter I-4 with a five-speed automatic transmission can be upgraded to the Premium Package (pictured) or the Technology Package. The Technology Package comes with a navigation system.
To keep passengers as protected as possible, the 2014 ILX is equipped with a variety of safety features such as Vehicle Stability Assist and a tire pressure monitoring system. The ILX also comes with an innovative six-airbag system. The system features two front, two front side and two side curtain airbags. Advanced sensors and inflator systems allow the airbags to adapt to match a collision situation so that they deploy at the proper time with the right amount of force.
There are plenty of other great features that come standard on the 2014 ILX that drivers are sure to love. A push-start button, hands-free keyless access, an SMS text message function and Pandora capability are just a few more of the noteworthy attributes this new model has to offer.
