Chicagoland Acura Dealers Review the 2015 Acura RDX

January 28th, 2015 by

If you’ve been following our blog, you can probably guess that we’ve got a pretty positive 2015 Acura RDX review, but if you’re looking for one of the most detailed breakdown of one of the best compact crossovers on the road, keep on reading.

State-of-the-Art Features

While Acura has multiple package upgrades for the RDX, many of its standard features outdo competing models; these are some of the most popular amenities found on the RDX:

  • Touchscreen infotainment system with customizable interface
  • Bluetooth connectivity for phone and audio
  • Rearview camera with guidelines
  • Leather-trimmed upholstery
  • Heated front seating
  • SMS texting and Pandora internet radio

Acura has also made available an upgrade package that adds on a satellite-linked navigation system with voice controls; it can even reroute you around construction and traffic to make sure you get where you’re headed to on time.

As if the features aren’t enough, the 2015 Acura RDX 6-Spd AT earns an EPA-estimated 28 highway mpg.*

Is the RDX Right for Me?

One of the most common questions drivers ask us when they visit one of our showrooms is whether or not they should drive home the 2015 RDX or 2015 MDX. While it’s not a decision we can make for you, we have a few points you should consider before deciding on one or the other:

  • Do you regularly need five or more seats in your vehicle?
  • Do you need towing power in excess of 1500 pounds?
  • Are you regularly in need of significant cargo storage space?

If you answered yes to any or all of these questions, you may want to consider the 2015 MDX, as these are the limits on the RDX. If, on the other hand, you only need to tow about 1500 pounds on occasion or have a fifth passenger in your vehicle every once in a while, the RDX should be perfect.

Test Drive the RDX

The bottom line of our review of the 2015 Acura RDX is that unless you’re in need of a larger crossover for your family, it’s an excellent fit. And if you do need a bigger vehicle, we have the MDX for you.

Visit a Chicagoland Acura Dealer today and take a test drive of the RDX, review it for yourself, and let us know what you think.
