Acura Aesthetics Stretch Well Beyond the Draftboard

April 23rd, 2013 by

If you’ve seen an Acura SUV on the road, there’s a good chance that it caught your eye for a bit longer than the vehicles around it, and you can thank the design aesthetics behind the Acura line for those eye-catching luxury autos.

That sense of style extends beyond the designs of their vehicles however, and Acura launched a studio master class at this year’s Sundance Film Festival.

Unique, Classy Films Fit Acura

There are few things that fit the ideals of Acura better than the intelligent, creative, and well-produced films that appear at Sundance every year, and with this being the third year that Acura has helped sponsor the event, they opted for something new.

To support creativity and independent filmmaking, Acura presented the “Acura Studio Master Class Series” that included panels and lectures from industry insiders, writers, stars, and filmmakers. Educating everyone in attendance on music, action, sound and audio engineering, and more, Acura paid special attention to driving and car chases.

Gary Robinson, manager of Advertising for Acura, expressed how excited the automaker is to be involved with such creative folks, introducing some to Acura for the first time while “celebrating the achievements of visionary filmmakers and independent film.”

The aesthetics of many Sundance films match up well with Acura’s sense of class, style, and practicality, making for a fitting match. In much the same way that Sundance’s stars don’t really compete in the same league as the rest of mainstream films, Acura vehicles set themselves apart from the pack with ease. To further exemplify their uniqueness, Acura also had the 2014 RLX and the NSX concept on site for film enthusiasts wanting to get a look at a new Acura firsthand.
