Compare 2016 Infiniti QX70 Standard Features to an Acura
When shopping for a new luxury vehicle in the greater Chicago area, you have quite a few choices. To help make your shopping a bit easier, we compared the 2016 Infiniti QX70 standard features to a top luxury sedan: the 2016 Acura RLX. The RLX is Acura’s flagship, showing everything that the Acura brand is capable of, and we think that once you see its features side by side with the QX70, you’ll know why so many Chicagoland drivers choose an Acura.
Crossover or Sedan?
Acura makes two impressive luxury crossovers—the RDX and the MDX—so while we know it’s possible to give drivers a high level of class and comfort in a crossover, we’re not quite sure the 2016 Infiniti QX70 standard features can stand up to a top-of-the-line sedan like the 2016 Acura RLX.
Each Acura RLX comes standard with features like these, all of which either are unavailable on the Infiniti or require an upgrade:
- Rear heating and air-conditioning controls
- Voice-activated technology controls
- Adaptive cruise control
- Satellite-linked navigation with built-in hard drive
- Telematics system
- Power-adjustable lumbar support for front seats
- Noise/sound cancellation
- LED headlights
With a 310-hp V6 engine under the hood, you might expect the RLX to be less efficient than the Infiniti QX70, and yet Acura leaps ahead of the Infiniti by a staggering amount:
- The 2016 Acura RLX with Technology Package earns an EPA-estimated 31 mpg on the highway and 20 mpg in the city for 24 mpg combined city/highway.*
- The 2016 Infiniti QX70, on the other hand, only manages 24 highway and 17 city mpg, for 19 mpg combined city/highway.
A practical fuel economy and a long list of features not found on the Infiniti put the RLX well ahead of the QX70 to us; what do you think?
