How Does the 2016 Audi A4 Price Compare to an Acura?

November 16th, 2015 by

2016 Acura TLXChicago drivers know their cars, and while we understand that there is an appeal to the 2016 Audi A4, its price falls in line with that of so many other luxury sedans, and we can’t quite see why it is so much more expensive than the 2016 Acura TLX. The latest TLX just arrived in our new vehicle lineup at Chicagoland Acura Dealers, and we thought now would be an excellent opportunity to go over what sets these mid-size luxury sedans apart, starting with the price.

Acura Offers Affordable Luxury

The idea of a car that is both luxurious and affordable might seem contradictory if you aren’t familiar with the Acura brand, but vehicles like the MDX (as well as the TSX and TL the TLX replaced) have been giving drivers the comfort and technology they deserve without featuring a luxury markup like so many competitors. And the new TLX continues that legacy:

  • The 2016 Acura TLX 8-Spd DCT is priced at $31,695 (MSRP)* and earns an EPA-estimated 35 mpg on the highway.**
  • The 2016 Audi A4 2.0T has a base price of $35,900 and only manages 31 highway mpg.

In both the short-term and the long-term, the TLX offers savings over its Audi competitor. But we know that many drivers have come to expect a higher caliber of features if a vehicle costs more. Can the Audi make up for its higher price?

Enjoy Advanced Features in a TLX

The 2016 Audi A4 price might be better than some mid-size sedans, and so might its features, but it pales in comparison to the TLX. These are some of the standard TLX features you won’t find without upgrading on the Audi (if they are available at all):

  • Driver-side memory settings for mirrors, climate control, and seating
  • Multi-angle rearview camera
  • Front heated seating
  • Noise and sound cancellation
  • Jewel Eye LED headlights
  • Paddle shifters
